About Northern California
Northern California encompasses a vast and diverse area with vibrant metropolitan cities and beautiful natural surroundings. Its sophisticated yet laid-back ambience offers urban and suburban lifestyles, enhanced by world-class museums, concert halls, renowned eateries, and a large spectrum of sports, entertainment, and recreational activities.
You are a short drive from ski slopes, hiking trails, beaches, and national parks, including majestic Lake Tahoe, gorgeous Point Reyes Seashore, Yosemite National Park, and Muir Woods (home to one of the largest redwood groves). Among the area’s most popular tourist attractions are the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco; the Napa and Sonoma Valley vineyards and their award-winning wines; and the State Capitol, Sacramento. In addition, many top-rated universities are located in Northern California, including Stanford University and the University of California campuses San Francisco (UCSF), Berkeley (UCB), and Davis (UCD).
Against this backdrop, Kaiser Permanente has a strong presence with medical offices as far south as Gilroy, as far north as Santa Rosa, and as far east as Fresno.

About Southern California
The Los Angeles Area is the second largest metropolitan area in the country, covering everything from beaches to snow-capped mountains. Hollywood is home to exciting tourist attractions and nightlife, while Beverly Hills offers famous shopping and sight-seeing. Some of the most beautiful beaches in the country are in Santa Monica and Malibu.
Kaiser Permanente’s Southern California Regional offices are located in Pasadena, at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. Pasadena is home to the annual Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl Game.
Kaiser Permanente also has a strong presence throughout the rest of Southern California, namely Orange County and San Diego. Orange County is a collection of picturesque beach communities south of Los Angeles, including Newport Beach, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, and Anaheim. While San Diego is the second largest city in California, its ambience is relaxed and laid-back. San Diego is home to the Gas Lamp District, Balboa Park, Old Town, and La Jolla.
